Once again, Cortona On The Move and the MAEC have officially renewed their collaboration launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing and promoting the museum’s extraordinary heritage through the language of photography.
This time, photographers Giulia Parlato and Giovanna Petrocchi have been commissioned to explore the collection from the perspective of the MAEC’s initiative Sentinels of Beauty – festival: Female Guardians of Cultural Heritage, linked to the COTM theme Body of Evidence. The results of their investigations will illustrate how women have been represented in figurative art over the centuries.

Through this collaboration, we aim to pay tribute to the legacy of women of the past, present, and future, thereby contributing to a greater understanding and appreciation of their role both in art and in society.
